Saturday, October 3rd | 10 AM - 2 PM
There's no better way to celebrate community in Charlestown than to celebrate Charlestown Day with friends and neighbors!
Lace up your running shoes and start the day off with the Charlestown Day 5K at 9 AM, followed by the 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk on the paved trail in Charlestown Park. The Kids' Dash for children aged 6 and younger starts at 10 AM.
After the races, enjoy live music, delicious food, merchant tents, and the fun-filled Kids' Zone! Charlestown Day is a blast, and you don't want to miss it.
People's Light Theatre Season & Events
The People's Light & Theatre Company is putting on a couple of fantastic performances and events this fall! Check them out:
- The 2015 Golf Classic: Monday, September 28th at the Chester Valley Golf Club
- Lost in the Meadow: September 9th-12th and September 16th-19th in Longwood's Meadow Garden

The Malvern Harvest Festival
Sunday, September 13th | 11 AM - 4 PM
Downtown Malvern & Burke Park
The Malvern Harvest Festival is a local favorite in charming Downtown Malvern! Welcome the fall season with your Malvern neighbors by enjoying live music, great food, and fall fun for everyone. This year, the town brought back Polkadelphia for a fantastic second year in a row.
This year, the new feature is Oktoberfest, complete with its own Beer Garden.
And who can forget about Bark in the Park? This is Malvern's most popular adoption event, where you can visit furry friends of all kinds in the park (and maybe even take one home!).
The roads will be closed on the festival streets — King Street, Warren Avenue, and Channing Avenue. Be sure to come out and have fun with your Malvern community!
Sugartown at Sundown: Lantern Tours
Friday & Saturday, October 16th-17th | 6:30 PM - 8 PM
Enjoy a spooky tour through the village by lantern this Halloween season! Hear chilling tales about Historic Sugartown and creep through the grounds with your guide and a dim lantern. Will you encounter any ghosts walking about through Sugartown? Only one way to find out!
Listen to the Malvern village's history and enjoy hot cider and fall treats after your tour. Sugartown at Sundown offers seasonal fun for the whole family!
Valley Forge Family Day
Friday, September 25th | 2 PM - 5 PM
Valley Forge National Historic Park
Learn about Paoli's role in the nation's history at Valley Forge Family Day.
Watch as some of the park rangers demonstrate soldier life during the Revolutionary War, conducting everything from musket drills to firing a salute. There will be tall tales and stories galore as storytellers weave magnificent tales about patriots and pirates, heroes and spies during the American Revolution, and you and your family will have a great time at the event.
Other things to do during family day include trolley tours, educational programs, colonial games, and live music.
Okehocking Bird Fest
Saturday, September 26th | 9 AM - 2 PM
Okehocking Nature Center
Get up close and personal with live birds of prey at the Okehocking Nature Center. Learn about these magnificent creatures, experience the guided bird walk, and explore the nature center's wildlife photo gallery and more!
There will be live music by the bluegrass band Raven Hill from noon to 2 PM.
This event is free to the public, and certainly not one to miss!
